How to Fix Fidelity App Not Working or Won't Open

Is anyone else having problems logging into Fidelity from the mobile app? Mine keeps crashing every time I attempt log in. Want to see if its a network issue before I uninstall and reinstall the app.

If the Fidelity mobile app is not working on your iPhone or Android devices, try the following troubleshooting tips.

Reinstall the app

Whether you have an iOS or Android device, reinstalling the Fidelity mobile app should be your first action if the app won’t open or isn’t working.

  1. Delete the app from your device.
  2. If you have an iPhone or iPad, go to the App Store and download the Fidelity app.
  3. If you have a mobile phone or tablet running on Android, you can download the Fidelity Investments app through the Google Play Store.
  4. Once the app is installed, tap to open it and log in to your account.

Clear Cache and App Data

If that still doesn’t work or the Fidelity app shows signs of slowness, you may have to clear the cache data that it’s using.

Question for the group…So for the longest time, I couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t log in to the fidelity app and I had been investing with fidelity for a few years. Come to find out, the reason behind it is because my fidelity account was created through a 3rd party broker and the account was created through institutional dot fidelity , vice regular fidelity. Now I have never had any issues with my institutional. Fidelity account and last year’s gains was actually really good, but I am not liking the fact that it doesn’t have app functionality. Does anyone here in the group have an institutional. Fidelity account? Is it any different from the regular account? Should I just close shop, transfer my balance to a regular account or just diversify between having two brokerage accounts, one being institutional. Fidelity and one being a regular fidelity account? Forgive me if this is too long for you all to read.

Anyone else having trouble with the app today? I talked with Fidelity and they said it’s an intermittent problem, but it seems like I’ve had it all morning. I just talked to a lead tech at Fidelity. He said they are working on a fix as they have had some issues with the latest IOS update on iPhone. He said they hope by the end of the year to have a completely new app available across the board and all of their resources have been going to that and this latest IOS update issue came unexpectedly. Very nice guy.

Try exiting the app entirely (not just minimizing) then go back in. That fixes it for me when I get that error!

If using Android, just close all apps using the “Box” button on the bottom. Reopen Fidelity and you’re all good!

I’ve deleted and reinstalled but still it’s not working, this has been going on since last year …: I thought it’ll be fixed before this year starts but still… I’m currently trying to make an online translation but I can do anything now …
